Currently, the Cát Lái-Phú Hữu port area accounts for about  八 五 per cent of container shipments for the Southern Key Economic Zone and  五0 per cent of container shipments for the entire country.

Traffic in and out of the Cát Lái - Phú Hữu port area is very difficult, as there are often traffic jams.

The would-be road will be six kilometres long,  六0 metres wide with  一 二 lanes, and have a design speed of  六0km per hour.

The road will start from Nguyễn Thị Định street, pass through Bà Cua canal, Ông Nhiêu canal, and end at the intersection of Ring Belt Road No. 三.

It will ease traffic jams on Nguyễn Thị Định, Đồng Văn Cống and Nguyễn Duy Trinh streets. VNS
